| The celebration of all things Door Shakespeare lands on July 30 this year and will be located at the Woodwalk Gallery. Proceeds from the event will go towards production costs for the 2023 summer season. Door Shakespeare is accepting RSVPs through July 17.
Enjoy entertainment from company members. Learn about Door Shakespeare’s Summer youth theater program, Camp Will. Mix and mingle with fellow theater lovers. Savor locally sourced appetizers, entrees, and desserts by Thyme Cuisine under the twinkling lights of Woodwalk Gallery’s classically rustic setting, and in the beauty of the surrounding gardens.
“I am excited to participate in my first Door Shakespeare Gala.” says Managing Director Elissa Wolf. “I look forward to meeting all of the community members that make our work possible.”
This will be Door Shakespeare’s first year offering a full dinner service at the annual celebration. Entrée selections include Door County Cherry BBQ chicken or Atlantic Salmon with Pineapple Mango Salsa. Alternative menu choices are available for guests with dietary restrictions.
The theme for this year’s event is As You Like It, one of Shakespeare’s works that just happens to be running this summer on the Door Shakespeare stage from June 29 through August 26.
“This year’s Gala falls at the midpoint of our 28th season, so we’ll have much to celebrate with much more yet to come.” shares Gala Chair Judy Drew. “There’s no question that we’ve appreciated and made use of various online alternatives since the pandemic. But if the last three years have taught us anything, it’s that there’s nothing like live theatre and the joy of celebrating it together. ”
