Door Shakespeare Welcomes New Managing Director
Door Shakespeare is pleased to announce that Elissa Wolf will join its leadership team as Managing Director, effective April 17th.
Wolf has worked in artistic, administrative, and supervisory roles with multiple arts organizations, including the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company and the former Chicago Youth Shakespeare. As Managing Director, she will oversee all aspects of Door Shakespeare’s operations.
“The Board is delighted that Elissa is joining Door Shakespeare at such an exciting time,” said Judy Drew, chair of the Door Shakespeare Board of Directors. “We know both her experience and enthusiasm will be assets as we prepare for our 28th season.”
Wolf holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. She received a Master of Arts in Shakespeare and Creativity from the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-Upon-Avon, a program which is partnered with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Wolf has called Door County her home for the summer since childhood, coming up with her family every year to enjoy their Ellison Bay home. She also has a history with Door Shakespeare and has supported the theatre by volunteering and attending performances.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Door Shakespeare team,” Wolf commented. “I love this theatre’s work, vision and values, and I look forward to contributing to its future growth and success.”
