Byrd Gillissen

Byrd Gilissen (they/them) Byrd is currently a student at Lawrence University, studying both theatre and international relations. They’ve been involved with theatre for about 10 years now, working everywhere from on the stage to behind the scenes. Most recently they both acted and assisted lighting design with Bellwether at Lawrence University. They are also currently engaging in research, looking to improve stage lighting visibility on performers of color. While not on the stage, they are often found either reading or going on a cross country road trip. Often, they’re trying to find another story to latch on to, whether to be told on stage or through a late night conversation.
