Registration Dates

Registration opens for returning campers on March 2, 2026, and for new campers on March 9, 2026.

About Camp Will

Camp Will is a weeklong workshop dedicated to developing communication skills, language, and group social skills through creative play and ensemble work. Our goal is to nurture each young person’s ability to voice ideas, express thoughts, and discover creativity through group collaboration and the poetry of William Shakespeare.

Daily Schedule

Each day begins with theater games and warm-up activities followed by the exploration of Shakespeare’s language through rhythm, playful exercises, and scene work. Students also develop vocal and physical techniques that deepen their understanding of the text and strengthen their performance skills.

All sessions take place outdoors on the grounds of Door Shakespeare’s Theater at Björklunden and are taught by professional actors from the Door Shakespeare company.

The week concludes with campers sharing their scene work on the Door Shakespeare stage, followed by the opportunity to watch their instructors perform in the evening’s professional production.

Camp Sessions

Session #1: July 13–17, 2026
Session #2: July 20–24, 2026
Session #3: August 3–7, 2026

Campers may register for one or multiple sessions. Camp Will welcomes new campers to each session and provides enrichment opportunities for returning campers.

Ages: 8–17

Tuition

$200 for the first student in the family
$175 for each additional student in the same family
Discounts available for a camper’s second and/or third session
Scholarship Information is available below.

Tuition includes

One Door Shakespeare t-shirt (per summer)
One student ticket and one adult ticket to Friday’s professional production (per session).

Camp Will Refund Policy

Cancellations made up to one month prior to the start of your session are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made less than one month before the session start date are eligible for a refund if we are able to fill your spot with another participant.
Cancellations made within one week prior to the session start date are not eligible for a refund.

9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Monday–Friday
6:00 p.m., Friday, July 17: Green Share program (time subject to change)
7:30 p.m., Friday, July 17: Watch Door Shakespeare’s evening production.

Session #2: July 20–24, 2026
Location: Door Shakespeare stage, Björklunden, Baileys Harbor

6:00 p.m., Friday, July 24: Green Share program (time subject to change)

Scholarships Available

The 2026 Camp Will Scholarship Application will be available by January 1, 2026.

Camp Will reserves places in each session for scholarship applicants so no camper is turned away due to financial need. To secure your camper’s place, please submit your scholarship application by the deadline listed below for each session. Any reserved places not claimed by the deadline will be opened to general registration.

Scholarship Deadlines

June 15 – Deadline to apply for Session #1 (July 13–17)
June 22 – Deadline to apply for Session #2 (July 20–24)
July 6 – Deadline to apply for Session #3 (August 3–7)

The Family Fund

The Door Shakespeare Family Fund ensures that children of all income levels can experience Camp Will. By supporting educational programs and providing scholarships, the Fund helps campers participate who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
