Mark Corkins*

This will be Mark’s fifth season with Door Shakespeare. He is so excited to be back in the garden at Bjorklunden, working with friends old and new, sharing these stories with a live audience. Favorite past roles here include: Prospero, Capulet, Toby Belch, Egeon, and most recently, Falstaff. Mark has also worked locally with American Players Theatre, Madison Rep, Next Act, Chamber Theatre, First Stage, Optimist, In Tandem, Cooperative Performance, and Milwaukee Opera Theatre. As a long-time member of the Milwaukee Rep’s resident acting company, over dozens of productions, notable roles include: Lear (King Lear), Lopahkin (The Cherry Orchard), Hamm (End Game), Lee (True West), and Jacob Marley (A Christmas Carol). Mark has also had the pleasure to work with the Berkeley Rep, the Utah and Illinois Shakespeare Festivals, Stage West, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Arena Stage, and the Colonial Theatre. Internationally he has traveled to perform in Germany, Finland, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Mark is also most fortunate to have spent many months in Japan, over the years, working with the Suzuki Company of Toga, and SITI Company.
