If you have been to Door Shakespeare in the last few years, you probably have noticed the many improvements made to the theater space. Weather resistant risers, a new tech booth, upgrades to our lighting and sound system, and most recently a new box office have all been added through the generosity of donors like you!

All of these improvements were made to make our theater experience more pleasing and safer for our patrons, and we are so grateful to those who have generously contributed to these efforts.

Now, it is time to replace the worn covers over our concession stand and Shakespeare Garden tent with new custom tops! Immediately after the close of the 2015 season, we took the old, weather-torn tent tops to Dorsal Sails, in Sturgeon Bay. Charlie Klein is a great friend of Door Shakespeare and will be working on creating custom weather-resistant, durable tops for the 2016 season.

The total price of this project is$2,030. This includes a very generous 15% discount. The cost per yard including labor is $35, and it will take at least 58 labor/fabric yards to cover both tents.Door Shakespeare aims to raise the total amount necessary to complete this project for the 2016 season by April 1st.

Then, when you visit the Garden at Björklunden this year to attend a Family Night, a Wine Night or a Pre-show Discussion in the Shakespeare Garden, or purchase concessions during the intermission of one of our shows, you will be able to see the impact of your generosity and know you had a hand in creating a beautiful space for all to enjoy.
