Katherine is very happy to be returning to the woods for her second season with Door Shakespeare! She is a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Psychology at the UW–Madison, where she splits her research work between the Educational Neuroscience Lab and the Community Arts Collaboratory. Katherine studies what and how we learn through art and play practices, and aims to leverage interdisciplinary scholarship towards equitable access to meaningful arts education. Recent theater credits include her ongoing role as the education director for Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, as well as work with Forward Theatre (playwright), Interlochen Arts Camp (program director), and Whoopensocker (actor and teaching artist). Other favorite credits include: the Children’s Theater of Madison, Four Seasons Theatre, the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam, Optimist Shakespeare, Double Edge Theatre, Adishakti Theatre, and the Missoula Children’s Theatre. She holds a Master of Science in Educational Psychology and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies from the UW-Madison, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
